“They were pretty stacked” said freshman Paja Lynhiavue
“Honestly we’re more of a singles team then a doubles team” said Head Coach Reed Stout.
Sierra’s Steph Ramos triumphed over Astudillo in a singles match 6-1 and 6-1.
Ward won 6-0 and 6-1 as well against American River’s Toscano.
Sierra’s Caldwell beat Micsa 6-3 and 6-4.
Beeby defeated American River’s Marshall 6-1 and 6-3.
Sierra’s Griffen played Kelnhofer and won 6-3 and 6-0.
American River’s Lynhiavue played Fisher and won 6-0 and 6-0.
“It was well fought, a good match overall. I think we played better doubles then we did in the past. Singles wise with the wind, its a very different experience. The ball moves a little more, footwork has to be a lot more crisp. We definitely didn’t perform as well in signles as we could have” said Stout
“The biggest difference is execution of finishing points and not being aggressive enough” said Stout.
