The chalk scrawled outside the athletic department depicts the score of the football game between Community College of San Francisco and ARC.  The Beavers with the win became the No. 3 ranked team in the nation and are currently 5-0.  The team will play next at home against San Joaquin Delta College on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.

The Indigenous Peoples Day march made its way around the American River College campus on Oct. 9. Bear Jackson, elder of the Shoshone tribe of western Nevada, made it a priority to be at the march. “I took the time off work to share songs, words, dance and to watch our future leaders,” Jackson said. “You must have prayer and singing, it’s what makes us who we are. It’s important to teach it to our youth.”
