American River College is set to host its spring semester Club Day in the STEM quad on Feb. 25.
This semester, the Club and Events Board has been focusing more on fundraising during Club day. This will be the first Club Day where all participating tables will be fundraising, according to CAEB President Sapeidah Saeedi.
“We wanted to make this Club Day as focused on the fundraiser as possible. There’s not going to be any extra activities, it’s just for clubs to sell their things… it will be pretty simple,” Saeedi said.
Despite the simplicity of the plan for this Club Day, there will still be many features offered at the event. According to Michelle Hernandez, the CAEB Puente representative, the Puente Club will be selling aguas frescas and horchata at its table. Other clubs, like the Electrical Innovation Club, are still deciding on how they want to fundraise.
“Right now, people are pitching ideas around the Discord server, but there are a few things we’re looking at doing. We’ve got one person who’s going to 3D print some battery models with the club name,” said Andrew Donnelly, club president.
Film Club will also be at Club Day, selling concessions like popcorn and candy at its table, as well as promoting its upcoming film, “The Bucket List,” according to Film Club president, Luna Contreras.
According to Saeeidi, 16 clubs have signed for tables on Feb. 25, however she is hoping to have 30 clubs sign up, as well as having some of the resource centers to participate.
Stop by the STEM quad on Feb. 25 anytime between 10 a.m and 2:30 p.m to grab some popcorn, connect with other students, and support ARC clubs.
