Following the news American River College is requiring all students and staff who access district or college facilities to have at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by Oct. 1, ARC will host a vaccination clinic on Sept. 14.

According to the ARC website’s Events page, the clinic will be held on-campus in the Student Center Community Rooms from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The clinic is facilitated by Walgreens and appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins will also be accepted, according to the Events page.

According to Scott Crow, ARC’s communications and public information officer, students who need either dose of the vaccine can get it at this clinic.

This is the last planned clinic for ARC at the moment, but other options are available.

“We will schedule more as appropriate,” Crow said in an email to the Current. “We also are encouraging students to use the Sacramento County and My Turn websites to locate clinics near where they live.”

To register for the vaccination clinic, go to the ARC website’s Events page and click the “Register For Vaccine Clinic” box.
