Capt. Chris Day of the Los Rios Community College Police Department at American River College has been temporarily reassigned to Sacramento City College. His replacement is Capt. Valerie Cox, of Sacramento City College. Before her promotion to captain, Cox previously served at ARC as a sergeant.
An announcement email sent by Ray Di Guilio vice president of Administrative Services stated “periodically, in an effort to maintain preparedness and the highest safety/ security standards, members of the Los Rios Police Department may be reassigned/rotated to ensure all officers have operational knowledge of each Los Rios college campus and related sites.”
At the time of the writing of this article the Los Rios Police department declined to comment on the reassignment of Capt. Day.
