There’s plenty to see and do this holiday in Sactown
It’s Ebeneezer Scrooge and company, with a few surprises
“Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we’ve no place to go…” wait. Stop the presses. No place to go? Are you kidding? Maybe the “Let it Snow ” songwriter, Sammy Cahn, couldn’t find much to do in Hollywood the day he wrote that tune, but come on, people, it’s the holidays in Sacramento. This city has plenty of great holiday theater and music to make even the Scroogiest (not a word-yet) among us do a holiday jig, spiked eggnog or not.
So, let’s explore the town, Sactown, that is, for all that’s glittery and bright this season.
Sacramento Theater Company is dishing up traditional holiday fare with its adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” playing Dec. 1- Dec. 24. Tickets range from $35-$48. “2022 Sacramento Waterfront Kwanzaa Celebration” is here. The California Black Agriculture Working Group invites you to experience a pan African holiday along the Sacramento Waterfront. Dec. 27, 11:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Free admission. Old Sacramento Waterfront, 1014 2nd St., #200, Sacramento, 95814.

Theater in the Heights, Citrus Heights, that is, brings you “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some).” Theatreintheheights.com promises a three-performer cast’s “madcap romp through the holiday season.” Dec. 9-24.
